IYD’s office are spread throughout Turkey and Syria as following:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: HR Coordinator.

Project / Department Title: Operations

Direct supervisor / Reports to: Operations Manager

 

Overall objective of the job:

The HR Coordinator will oversee the Human Resources Unit using all knowledge and experiences such as organizational development, talent management, and employee relations. The HR Coordinator responsibilities covers both teams and staff in Turkey and Syria, direct support and influence the evolution of IYD’s HR strategies.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Delivers and maintains an efficient and effective HR system, following the best models.
  • Ensures the smooth running of the work by addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints.
  • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
  • Participates in the preparation of the administrative decisions and ensuring the explanations to whom it may concerns.
  • Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee’ work results by scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
  • Delivers all aspects of HR services and provides regular reports of the HR department’s performance.
  • Ensures all employees are kept abreast of IYD’s policies.
  • Conducts recruitment, talent management, and motivation needed, plus ensuring that each process meets the organization’s goals.
  • Leads and supervises HR staff, ensuring they have clear objectives and needed resources to perform their tasks.
  • Prepares the reports which identify areas that need improvement within the organization.
  • Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
  • Performs other assigned tasks within the overall scope of his/her role.

 

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, social sciences or other related disciplines.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint in a professional way.

 

 Abilities:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
  • The ability to work in a systematic and organized manner.
  • The ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously to meet goals and deadlines.

 

 Experiences:

  • At least 4 years’ working experience in HR environment or similar.
  • Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people.
  • Proven administrative and IT skills, and an ability to maintain accurate records.

 

 Required Training:

Trainings in the field of Human Resources.

 

Physical and personality traits required:

  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure
  • Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
