JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Car Driver (Turkish National Only).
Project / Department Title: Operataions.
Overall objective of the job:
To drive the vehicle to accomplish the assigned tasks, to not surpass the speed limit, to take into consideration personal warning measures and to apply safety rules while driving.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To transport staff for their tasks.
- To transport the staff to and from work in the event of shifts and overtime.
- To record the vehicle mileage in a special register.
- To perform periodic inspection of the Authority’s vehicles and to follow up with maintaining the cleanliness of the car as well as any additional work.
- To carry out car maintenance and repair work in the garages after informing the superiors.
- To control the movement of the supply of cars and control the consumption of fuel in kilometers.
- To create a preventive maintenance plan and implement it after its approval.
- To follow-up with oil changes and filters (maintenance book)
- To check the cooling cycle components of the Commissions engine·
- To attend all courses and training sessions that contribute to the development.
- To attend all the assigned-administrative meetings.
- To maintain the property of the institution in good condition.
- To commit to the attendance and departure hours as required by the interest of the work and what is approved by the Department.
- To provide periodic reports on your work and when requested.
- To cooperate with all colleagues to accomplish their tasks in the matters that concern you according to the procedures followed.
- To abide by all instructions and orders.
- Any additional tasks related to the position as requested by the direct manager.
Qualifications:
- Familiar with the periodic maintenance of vehicles.
- Having a comprehensive knowledge of all the addresses of humanitarian organizations within the field of work.
- Familiar with traffic regulations, laws and policies.
- Familiar with the addresses, roads and traffic laws of Turkey.
Abilities:
- The ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
- Fluency in Turkish, written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
Experiences:
- 3 years of previous experience in the car driving, at least two years in Turkey.
Physical and personality traits required:
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure
- Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
