ABOUT: IYD – HUMANITARIAN RELIEF ASSOCIATION

IYD is a Turkish, non-governmental, non-profit and has no political association working in various fields of humanitarian relief, development, and education.

IYD was established early 2013 in Turkey, so that, it has become by the end of 2018 spread out over different areas in both Syria and Turkey.

IYD was registered in 2014 with a license No. (34-203/022) and it has been working according to Turkish Organizations Law No. /5253/ under the name:  ULUSLARARASI INSANI YARDIMLAŞMA DERNEĞI

IYD’s office are spread throughout Turkey and Syria as following:

  • Turkey: Istanbul, Gaziantep, Reyhanli
  • Syria: Aleppo-Homs-Damascus-Idleb.

The total number of beneficiaries from IYD projects is 379026 families and 382234 person

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: FSL officer

Project / Department Title: FSL Program

Duty station: Program

Direct supervisor / Reports to: FSL Program coordinator

Main tasks:

Under the line management of the FSL program coordinator the FSL officer will be responsible of all aspects of project implementation, including the preparation, planning, organizing, coordination, and relations with all sectors and international partners as well as the documentation for all the steps to implement the project.
The scope of the work includes close coordination with all stakeholders, including the team and partners.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Participating in designing the projects including the proposal, log frame, budget in coordinating with the project officers and project coordinator.
  • Follow-up daily physical progress on the field and prepare a report to the direct line of authorities accordingly.
  • Participating in the development, implementation of assigned program projects, monitors and analyses project development and implementation.
  • Document and report on conducted activities to ensure that needs assessed are being responded in effective and timely manner.
  • Prepare, update and implement project work plans and review progress monthly with input from the field.
  • Lead and supervise the filed team, prepare their timesheet and follow-up their performance.
  • Contribute to identifying new donors, private sector partners, national and international NGOs.
  • Perform related duties as assigned by FSL program coordinator.

Qualifications:

  • University education in a relevant field such as Agriculture engineering, Economic, international development, humanitarian.
  • At least four three relevant work experience, preferably including agriculture activities.
  • Ability to work well and punctually under pressure.
  • Good knowledge of the Humanitarian Principles.

Abilities:

  • Excellent skills in written and spoken English. Highly required.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal skills, and flexibility in cultural and organizational terms.
  • Good Computer Skills especially Microsoft applications, Excel and word.

Experiences:

  • Knowledge of Syrian context, including INGOs and NGOs who work in Syria.
  • Knowledge of budget requirements and regulations of donors like Care, EF, UN agencies, and others.
  • Knowledge of logistics, procurement, recruitment, finance in Syrian context.
