IYD was established in early 2013 in Turkey.

IYD was registered in 2014 with a license No. (34-203/022) and it has been working according to Turkish Organizations Law No. /5253/ under the name:  ULUSLARARASI INSANI YARDIMLAŞMA DERNEĞI

IYD’s offices are spread throughout Turkey and Syria as following:

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Title: IT Officer  (Turkish National Only).

Project / Department Title: IT & Communication.

Direct supervisor / Reports to: IT Senior Officer.

 

Overall Objective:

The IT Officer will maintain the computer networks, computers, peripherals, and web sites of the organization, providing the technical support and ensuring the whole functions runs smoothly. In addition to supporting the staff with all technical requirements.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with IT HOD to develop and implement an effective IT strategy.
  • High-level coordination with all departments at the organization.
  • Develop a monthly plan for the IT Department in coordination with the line manager.
  • Archiving and saving the organization’s documents in a trusted way that guarantees their safety and security (in several copies).
  • Submit daily, weekly, and monthly work reports to the line manager.
  • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners.
  • Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks.
  • Responding in a timely manner to service issues and requests.
  • Providing technical support across the organization (this may be in person or over the phone).
  • Setting up accounts, computers, printers, and peripherals for new users.
  • Repairing and replacing the tech equipment as necessary.
  • Training and conduct orientation sessions for staff members.
  • Testing and evaluating new technologies.
  • Design and implement an attractive, user-friendly, and functional website for the organization.
  • Responsible for both back-end and front-end development including the implementation of WordPress themes and plugins as well as site integration and security updates.
  • Migrate old website data to the new one.
  • Any additional tasks related to the position as requested by the line manager.

 

Qualifications:

  • A university degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or any relevant certificate.
  • MS Office 365, SharePoint Apps in-depth knowledge is required.
  • Certifications in relevant computer languages or software (MCITP, MCDST, MCSD, MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, A+, N+ …etc) are preferred.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of front-end programming languages, a good eye for aesthetics, and strong content management skills.
  • A top-class WordPress Developer who can create attractive, user-friendly websites that perfectly meet the design and functionality specifications.

 

Abilities:

  • Sharp time management skills.
  • Strong ethics, with an ability to manage confidential data.
  • The ability to work in a systematic and organized manner.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • A technical, logical thought process.
  • Good understanding of website architecture UI/UX.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
  • An ability to stick to strict deadlines and prioritize the tasks.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Good organizational, multitasking, and time-management skills.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tactics, such as SEO and email marketing.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and the ability to exercise good judgment and solve problems quickly and effectively.
  • The ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint in a professional way.

 

Experiences:

  • 3-4 years of experience in the same field of work.
  • Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
  • 1 year of experience in the same field of non-profit organizations.
  • Proven administrative and IT skills, and an ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Proven experience and knowledge with WAN, LAN, Wifi, and Peripheral equipment.

 

Physical and personality traits required:

  • Flexible and able to work well under pressure
  • Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
