JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: HR Senior Assistant
Project / Department Title: Operations
Direct supervisor / Reports to: HR S. Officer
Overall objective of the job:
Helping with all assignments of HR Department
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Delivers and maintains an efficient and effective HR system, following the best models.
- Ensures smooth running of the work by addressing any employment relations issues, such as work complaints.
- Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
- Participates in preparation of the administrative decisions and insuring the explanations to whom it may concerns.
- Ensures monitoring, and appraisal of employee’ work results by scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors.
- Delivers all aspects of HR services and provide regular reports of HR department’s performance.
- Ensures all employees are kept abreast of IYD’s policies.
- Prepares the reports which identify areas that need improvement within the organization.
- Maintains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system; keeping past and current records.
- Performs other assigned tasks within the overall scope of his/her role.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, social sciences or other related discipline.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in a professional way.
Abilities:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
- Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
Experiences:
- At least 1 year working experience in HR environment or similar.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills and the ability to deal with a diverse range of people.
- Proven administrative and IT skills, and an ability to maintain accurate records.
Required Training:
Trainings in the field of Human Resources.
Physical and personality traits required:
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure
- Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
