JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: FSL Project Officer (Turkish National Only).
Project / Department Title: FSL
Direct supervisor / Reports to: Program Coordinator
Overall objective of the job:
To manage the livestock and agricultural projects in coordination with IYD’s team inside Syria.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- To manage the livestock and agricultural projects in coordination and collaboration with IYD’s team inside Syria.
- To implement and follow up the projects’ work plans set by the program coordinator.
- To provide the program coordinator with weekly and monthly reports on the projects’ progress.
- Preparing the reports requested by donors on time and sharing them with the program coordinator.
- Preparing and following up the purchase orders.
- Reporting all challenges which happen while implementing the project to the program coordinator.
- Attending all program-related meetings.
- Ensuring that all project documents and files are archived in an organized and retrievable manner.
- Follow up to the needs inside Syria and proposing new project ideas.
- Executing other tasks assigned by the program coordinator.
Qualifications:
- A university degree “having a veterinary or engineering certificate is preferable”.
- Previous experience in the management of food security and livestock’s projects.
- A PMD pro certificate.
Abilities:
- The ability to prepare and write project reports.
- The ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in a professional way.
- Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the project team.
- Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Good organizational, multitasking and time-management skills.
Experiences:
- Previous experience in the project management.
- Previous experience in the same field of non-profit organizations for at least one year.
- Proven administrative and IT skills, and an ability to maintain accurate records.
Required Training:
Should have received training of LEGS.
Physical and personality traits required:
- Flexible and able to work well under pressure
- Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
