IYD is a Turkish, non-governmental, non-profit and has no political association working in various fields of humanitarian relief, development, and education.
IYD was established early 2013 in Turkey, so that, it has become by the end of 2016 spread out over different areas in both Syria and Turkey.
IYD was registered in 2014 with a license No. (34-203/022) and it has been working according to Turkish Organizations Law No. /5253/ under the name: ULUSLARARASI INSANI YARDIMLAŞMA DERNEĞI

JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: FSL Project Coordinator
Project / Department Title: FSL
Direct supervisor / Reports to: Programmes Manager
Overall objective of the job: The Project Coordinator should be driven by the desire to achieve an impact on livelihood/livestock through high-quality project management. The Project Coordinator will have overall responsibility for all aspects of project implementation and reporting and will represent the project with the donor and partners.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Manage Value Chain project (DFID year 4) Carrying out all the needed actions to ensure the best completion of the project according to the agreement signed, work-plan, log-frame, and project documents.
Lead, develop, and motivate the project’s team members both in Turkey and Syria to reach optimum performance and achieve project objectives.
Support design of needs assessments, baseline, deadline, mapping, and analysis.
Write accurate and complete monthly, quarterly, and final narrative progress reports to Care international outlining project activities, challenges, and outcomes.
Communicate regularly and effectively with Care international about challenges in project strategy.
Represent IYD during meetings with the donor, partners, and other stakeholders.
Work with the project’s support staff to ensure the effective and smooth implementation of the project at the community level.
Coordinate with Procurement, logistics, Finance, administration, and security units to ensure the proper progress in the project according to the work plan.
Act as a budget holder; make sure that all expenses are within the agreed budget lines and in line with the donor’s regulations.
Coordinate with the livestock adviser in terms of the technical aspects related to the project and send a technical report upon request.
Prepare an operational plan for his/her project and supervise the team operational plans.
Perform other assigned tasks within the overall scope of his/her role.
Qualifications:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in the Syrian context, livestock/agriculture are highly desirable.
Bachelor’s degree in Veterinary Medicine, Agriculture, Business Administration, social sciences or another related discipline.
Fluency in Arabic and English, both written and verbal.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint in a professional way.
Abilities:
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal.
Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational and delegation skills.
Able to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Experiences:
Minimum 4 years’ experience in project management.
Experience in donor’s relation, guidelines, policies and regulations.
Required Training:
PMP certified is preferable.
Physical and personality traits required:
Flexible and able to work well under pressure- Capable of working collaboratively with team members to achieve objectives.
